Granddaughter Maggie's blessing

From the tropical warm air of the Philippines to snow in Provo, I flew back to the mainland on Jan 29th of 2010 and joined Keith, Kimberly and Charity on our trek north to Utah. We were able to take in a BYU basketball game that week end and be there for Maggie's baby blessing. Maggie wore the same blessing dress that Melanie wore as an infant years ago when she was blessed. The special little dress was a gift from my dear friend Cheri Lea who served a mission in Riberio Brazil. Coincidently, the same mission Melanie was called to serve 21 years later. A little snowman for a little snow day. Provo in January.

A new Grandson is born!

James Charles Broadbent joined our family on January 20, 2010!! I felt very blessed to be able to go to Manila and spend time with the Broadbents within days after Sheralie gave birth to James. What a joy to be with these cherished grandkids!

Little baby James is very much adored and loved by his older brothers and sister.

Doesn't Sheralie look fabulous for just giving birth! I was so grateful to be there for Sheralie's 29th Birthday!

Take a Knapp for Christmas

Christmas of 2009 was especially fun as we shared the holiday with our cousins, the Knapps from Idaho playing at the San Diego sunny beaches.

another teenager in the house.

Lots of glitz and glow at the yearly Christmas Piano recital hosted by Mrs Bouck. Charity performed a Chopin Mazurka and Joy to the World.

Charity, the youngest of the Keith and Bev Monroe clan became an official teenager on Nov 24th, 2009. A rare thing to celebrate her birthday quietly at home as we are usually traveling, hosting Thanksgiving or having a wedding reception on her birthday. Charity's birthday leads us into the celebratory events of the Christmas season, such as the PHS winter concert, pictured on the right. Kimberly sings with the Die Lieders group, the top mixed choir.

A new baby in the family

After nine long months of waiting and anticipation, our newest grand daughter came into the world on Nov 17, 2009. Born to Melanie and Daniel Burk. I was lucky enough to be at the birth after a delay in flying stand by from San Diego to Salt Lake and then Michael picked me up form the airport to make the dash down the freeway to the American Fork hospital. Melanie had been in the process of laboring naturally all day long. Maggie arrived into the world minutes after I walked into the room. I felt extremely blessed to be present for the miracle of this grand daughters birth! I also enjoyed spending the next week helping new Mom Melanie and new Dad Dan with getting settled into new born babyland. Then the rest of the immediate family, Keith, Kimberly and Charity came from San Diego, and Mike joined us from near-by BYU, to have a memorable Thanksgiving together... which we enjoyed in Melanie and Dan's cozy basement apartment. Taking turns passing the baby of course!
